Mena M. Arsalai

Mena Arsalai began practicing health law in 2016, joining S&G in 2018.  Her practice emphasizes business and regulatory healthcare law.  Her experience includes drafting purchase agreements and ancillary transaction documents, healthcare facility licensing, healthcare acquisitions and physician contracting.

Ms. Arsalai received her Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of California, Davis in 2009.  She received her Juris Doctorate, with Distinction, from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law in 2016 where she was admitted to the Roger J. Traynor Honor Society.  She holds concentrations in Health Law and Trial and Appellate Advocacy.  While in law school, Ms. Arsalai was selected to be a student member of the Anthony M. Kennedy Inn of Court, an organization aimed at promoting excellence in the legal profession, with special emphasis on ethics, civility, and professionalism. 

Ms. Arsalai is admitted to the State Bar of California and is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association, Woman Lawyers of Sacramento, and the Business Law and Health Law Sections of the Sacramento County Bar Association.  

Ms. Arsalai is married to a cardiothoracic surgery resident and has two children.  She is a lifelong fan of the Sacramento Kings.



  • Mena M. Arsalai has been appointed to serve on the California Society of Healthcare Attorneys’ Diversity Committee, a committee formed to explore ways to increase diversity, equity and inclusion within the healthcare legal community.
